website to search engines for me for a very small one-off fee, as it
is only the one page.

Hello Lemmingpolkaga,

There are several places where you can submit your website for free.
Some of the sites will allow you to submit your website to many search
engines at once and you only need to type in your websites address and
description once or twice.

The time it would take to do this yourself would be about 1-3 hours if
you use several of these multi-submission services and your site would
be listed in multiple search engines.

Do you want to know how to submit your website to search engines in
this manner and where you can do this or are you asking for a
researcher/user to do this for you?

I have tried using the automated free search engine submission
services but when I go to check if my website is on the relevant
engines, there is no trace of it.  Therefore, I would like to pay
someone a small fee to manually submit it and ensure that it goes on
properly.

Are you aware that after you submit to search engines like AltaVista
and Google, you need to wait a month or two before your site shows up?

I have allowed one month to pass but there still does not appear to be
any sign of my website.

I know someone. What search engines how many search engines do you
want your page submitted to?

I would like it to be manually submitted for a small fee (as it is
only one page) to all of the major search engines.  I would also like
someone to recommend the appropriate metatags for my website.
