We are using an embedded system from Intrinsyc that's running linux
2.6.7 and is based around the Intel PXA255 processor. We need to get
MMC driver working on it.

We have attached an MMC card interface and have loaded the MMC modules
distributed with this kernel (including one for the PXA-MMC
interface). The module can be loaded and unloaded without a problem.
However, the kernel never detects an MMC card. It's clear from the
debug messages that the kernel is never calling the driver's mmc_probe
function.

How do we trigger the 2.6 kernel to call the driver's probe function?
