To process a mail order request for tulip bulbs the business Hole's Greenhouse and Gardens will only ship to a Canadian address and a customs broker must intervene with the power of attorney and complete the duty and CN22 paperwork so that the package can be shipped to me here in Dayton, Ohio. There is no law that the tulip bulbs can not be in the USA it is only the choice of the mail order business to not go to the bother;of course for the agricultural reasons the package has to be inspected. It seems alot for the package to be received into the USA but there is no other way that the tulip bulbs can be purcased for this planting time, which is now! Please answer my question right away if you know of a Canadian service that facillitates this kind of a package handling service,or if you know of any way this purchase can be completed |

pigsinablanket, I am SO glad you were able to find a supplier of those beautiful "Sweety" Triumph Tulips! Who'd have thought it would be such an involved process to get them to the USA? (If I was still living near the Canadian border, I'd just drive up and get them for you.) You might try the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers: http://www.cscb.ca/ Good Luck! |
