looking for a university town or suburb in Mass, CT or NH with educated, stimulating people. Activities not just university related, good community organizations. NY feel without NY prices. Theater, concert, lectures. I am retired with an income of $40,000. Bloomsburg PA ia a good example as found on www.bloomu.edu/visitor/about_town.php except it's in PA. A combination of city/country would be good. |

Burlington is pretty expensive. I would suggest Newport (RI) but then you're back at the New York prices. Providence, however, is a delightful small city, ridiculously affordable still and it has everything except a beach. |

The NE corner of CT has two universities, low housing prices, and is in easy striking distance of Boston and NYC www.ctquietcorner.com/ |
