Hello!

I am doing a research on "Buy online, pickup at store" model used by
click-and-mortar retailers like Best Buy and Circuit City. I need
collect some statistic in term of following attributes:

- total sale (mil)
- # of stores nationwide
- # of stores offer pickup at store
- % online sale
- online sale (mil)
- % of online order completed via store pickup
- average order size via store pickup

Also, what are the retailers that offer pickup at store? So far I have collected :
Best Buy, Circuit City, Sears, Lowe's, JCPenny, Staple, OfficeMax,
OfficeDepo,t Playless shoe,REI, compUSA

I have a spreadsheets to fill out. I already done the research for
Circuit city, but I need to fill the number for other retailers:

Pickup at store
- Retailer: Best Buy Circuit City (Y2006) Sears
- Total sale (mil) Year 2004 $22000 $12000 $36000
- # of stores nationwide ? ? ?
- # of stores offer pickup at store ? ? ?
- % online sale ? 8% ?
- Online sale (mil) ? $960 ?
- % of online order completed via store pickup ? 62% ?
- Average order size via store pickup ? ? ?

I used some Reference:
http://www.businessday.co.za/articles/ManagementAndLeadership.aspx?ID=BD4A239650
http://multichannelmerchant.com/news/marketing_instore_pickup_pitfalls/index.html

Also, I need to do a research on overall online sale with store
pickup. The table looks like:

                Year 2006 Year 2007 Year 2008
total sale (mil) $172000 $210000 $250000
% of stores offer pickup at store ? ? ?
% online sale 40%? ? ?
online sale (mil) $68800 ? ?
% of online order completed via store pickup ? ? ?
average order size via store pickup ? ? ?

The research price is for filling up all the number, or to the best
estimate. You need to provide how you comes up with those numbers,
either by online articles or formal publication.

Thanks,
Stanley

Note: I have these two tables in Google Spreadsheets, but I don't know
how to make it public. However if I have your Google account/email
then I can share the spread with you. So please request the access
once you take on this research.
