?E. John Robinson was born in Oregon. He earned a bachelor of arts
degree in education from the California College of Arts and Crafts in
Oakland, California and his master's degree from San Francisco State
College in San Francisco, California.
He had 30 one-man shows since he began painting. Many of his marine
paintings now belong to private collections and galleries throughout
the United States.?

California Landscape Painting by E. John Robinson
Price : $ 1,000 obo
?This is an original oil on canvas painting titled Convict Lake -
Spring by E. John Robinson painted c1979. The size of the painting is
24"H x 30"W and it is signed lower right; the size of the frame is
33"H x 39"W. Convict Lake is located in the Sierra mountain range a
few miles off highway 395 north of Bishop California.
Mr. Robinson was born in 1922 and is a well listed artist who did
about 4,000 seascapes and about 600 landscape paintings. A tag on the
back of the frame reads L-179, his 179th. landscape painting. The
painting was sold c1980 through Zantman Art Galleries of Carmel and
Palm Desert for $1,700. Today his paintings of this size sell in
galleries in the $5,000 range. He is listed in The Artists Bluebook
(2005), Art of the West (2001), and other publications. The painting
and frame are both in excellent condition.?
