Using Verizon, can a land-line distinctive ring number be ported to
wireless service such as tracfone. (Using LNP - Local Number
Portability)

Some sort of proof such a a link to a verizon site or someone else's
experience would be appreciated.

This depends on the carrier you're porting to.  You need to inform
them that the number is a distinctive ring number and they need to
note that on the request to port.

If you have a problem with the port it's because of the company you're
porting to.  Verizon has no problems with releasing distinctive ring
numbers.
