Hello again, hopefulfor2008-ga!
I am very sorry you were disappointed in my answer to your question.
My intent was certainly not to provide you with useless information or
"whiny" forum posts. The first forum link provided several recent
postings about wedding dress designers and suppliers that I thought
might be of interest to you in the future. I certainly did not mean to
offend you with my references!
Unfortunately, there are just not that many shows geared toward
wedding gown retail buyers in New York City! For this reason, I
expanded my search to other locations in the United States so you
would have some further options. Although I understand that you don't
want to travel, it might be worth it in the long run if you want to
attend some larger bridal gown expos.
I have found a few other shows that might be of interest to you, but
all except one are outside of New York. The industry trade links I
have posted on the bottom of my clarification have some out-of-date
links to past NYC bridal shows. Perhaps 2007 or 2008 will bring more
shows to the New York area.

My initial link to the Bridal Fashion Week show at the West Side Loft
is still a viable option. The West Side Loft is not merely an
apartment loft!
"Jim Brady, owner of Loft Eleven and Penthouse 15, now has another
incredible new space called The Westside Loft. Housed in the same
building as his other venues, The Westside Loft resembles a private
residence with a fireplace, chandeliers, and a garden room with slate
floors. The Loft can hold 200 guests for sit-down dinners or 350 for
receptions.

More expos and trade shows geared toward the wedding industry can be
found on the links below.
As you can see, the shows geared toward Bridal Gown retailers are few
and far between!
The Chicago Show I highlighted in my original answer is one of the
largest. From my research, it appears that this show tends to rotate
from year to year between Chicago and New York. Pehaps it will move to
NYC again in 2007.

Infomat Bridal Shows (as you can see, there are listings for past NYC
bridal shows but no others are scheduled for this year other than the
two I provided above)
- The Following fashion Events are for industry participants only.
Two forms of ID are required for entry to most Trade Shows and Runway
Shows. All dates are subject to rapid change without notice and should
be verified with respective Event Producers.

Aside from these references, I can find no other wedding gown expos
or trade shows geared toward the retail buyer within the United
States! Although I know my original answer also provided you with
links to shows for potential brides, I thought this might serve as an
additional avenue for you to "get a glimpse" of the latest fashions
that you might want to showcase in your own shop.
Does this help?
