I'm not sure there is a firm distintion between condominium, town
house triplex, apartment house and some other designations. I'll guess
ten million units of mulifamily dwellings, not counting motels and
hotels, but including brownstones and duplexes.I had not heard that
they are registered; perhaps in some locals, but not others. If you
clarify, a researcher may respond.   Neil
