I was contacted by Stephen Alvarez from Jay Jenkins Foundation about a part-time job opportunity to process donation and to be distributed to the assigned receivers. He got my information from Careerbuilder. He has Jay Jenkins email address. He asked me to print-out the W-4 from their website. I filled it out and fax it to them, then fill out the online form to tell them that it's been faxed. I supposed to cash the cashier's check they sent me. What made me become suspicious is when Stephen told me that he does not provide live support, and the return address on the envelope is only 3 initials and PO Box number in Houston, TX. I have yet cashed the check, because that could be a counterfeit check. I heard a lot this type of scam. The compensation is 7% of the donation and not include processing and transfer fee which is deducated separately from my 7%. This seems very easy, and they promise $500 on the first week. It sounds too good to be true. Why don't they do it themselves? I want to know if Jay Jenkins Foundation and this type of work is legit or not. What worried me the most is that my Social security could used fraudulently especially in this era where we can see alot of indentity thefts. | |
