The title of your question is "When did Whirlpool (WHR) start trading
on NYSE?" However, in the body of your question, you ask, "When did
Whirlpool corporation go public?"

You're actually asking two different questions since Whirlpool's
common stock was once traded on stock exchanges other than the NYSE.
Are you interested in the date Whirlpool first appeared on the NYSE?
Or are you interested in the date on which Whirlpool stock was first
traded on ANY stock exchange?

Sorry, I didn't realize I was not clear. I am interested in
the date on which Whirlpool stock was first traded on any stock exchange. Thanks!

Sorry to keep complicating things, but are you also interested in
stock issues before the Whirlpool name was adopted in 1950?

No. Does this mean it was already trading in 1950?

The listing date was 19 Sep 1955 if that was what you wanted. It is on
WHR's Info page:
