Basically I am trying to find credible stats that show the majority of
handgusn fall into this descriptive category.  It does not even have
to be Texas, it can be US.

That's like asking "How many dogs in Wyoming have one black ear?"
There's just no database that collects such information about guns by
color.

Perhaps manufacturers shipping info might be of some help.
