I'm looking for a musician. I have a CD of his, but it's been scratched. I can only get the first 3 songs to work. I know the artists' name, but that hasn't helped me in my search. His name is Chris McNulty (McNolty?), and I know he recorded the album in Philadelphia. The music is pop, akin to Gordon Lightfoot, I'd say. The chorus in the first song is "You better chin up, put your glass down, and get your spirits up". The second song is "Baby I've been crying like a baby over you", and the third song's chorus is "you've been looking at the moon all night, counting the stars in the sky". Any help would be much appreciated. |

I haven't identified the songs you referred to, but the female jazz singer Chris McNulty sings "Philadephia" (by Neil Young) on the album "Brightness of Being". Could it be this artist? Probably not, as you made it clear that it's a guy. "Brightness of Being features an impressive cast of performers, including saxophonist Gary Thomas, drummer Terri Lynn Carrington and singer Chris McNulty. ... Add in a three-part classical opus, a lovely rendition of Neil Young's Philadelphia featuring vocals by Chris McNulty" http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=20860 |
