Hi

A list of Mexican Univsrsities can be found here:

MEXONLINE - online guide to Mexico

Look under 'education'
Embassy of Mexico in Canada

EDUMEXICO - online directory for international students
[ http://edumexico.org/English/default.htm ]

These are government organisations in Mexico related to Higher
Education and Universities. You may contact them for the information
you require.

National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions
(ANUIES)
"The Association currently integrates 113 public and private
universities and institutions of higher education, which account for
85% of higher education enrollment in the country.

Therefore ANUIES is the most outstanding association of higher
education in Mexico, with the expertise and the capability to
coordinate and represent the academic and administrative expectations
and interests of its members before the executive, legislative and
judicial powers and also before national and international
organizations."

Mexican Ministry of Education (SEP)

Undersecretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research (SESIC)
[ http://168.255.115.5/ ] (access was difficult for me)

UNIVERSIDADES.ORG

ALIPSO
[ http://www.alipso.com/universidades.shtml ] (Search for universities
under 'Mexico')

--------

Some university figures I could manage to find:

Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México (UNAM) - 270,000
[ www.unam.mx ]

Universidad Iberoamericana - 10,500

Alliance University Mexico campus - 6,200
OR Universidad Internacional de Mexico, A.C.
(no indication of actual number of students only in Mexico Campus)

Universidad de las Americas (UDLA) - 1800
[ http://www.udla.mx/2000/english/conocenos/About_UDLA.html ]

Westhill University - 64
----------

I had a big problem because I don't read Spanish! I was also unsure if
I could post this as an answer to your question since it is not really
a complete list of universities with student populations indicated.

I saw your question has been on Google Answers for quite some time and
no one had tried to answer it! So I decided to give it a shot. I am
sorry I could not get you the exact information you needed.

If you think this suffices as an answer, please let me know and I will
post it!

Hi swbuyer-ga

Would you be interested in the ranking by the number of students in
graduate level education by state for the school year 2000/2001? I
also have the number of students in postgraduate education by state as
well. Unfortunately I was not able to find these statistics sorted by
University.

Thanks

Regardless of the language barrier to find the answer Vinods-ga tried
hard and did provide me with a link to the answer which I hadn't seen
before.
