I found reference to a single Char-King cafeteria at 1050 E. Coliseum
Blvd in Ft. Wayne, as well as a small chain of Charky's restaurants.

Either of these ring a bell...?

I found an obituary dated in the early 1970's announcing the death of
the President of the business. Presumably that marked the end the
business. In lieu of better information I can name this person and
provide you with a link to the obituary as an answer if you like.
