I'm trying to find out how many households (US as well as worldwide)
are running a computer network, as well as the projections on how this
number will grow in the next few years. I don't care whether the home
network is wired or wireless, but a break-out on those numbers would
be nice.

I'd like the information to be fairly recent (i.e. I don't want
numbers from 2000 with projections to 2004). I'd also like the
information to be traceable to places I can verify. If the numbers can
correlate to things like the number of consumer routers that have been
sold, it will add credibility to the data.
