Hiya, I?m a Multimedia Developer and I am giving a presentation to a
group of clients soon. The key topic area is:

HOW MUST THE MULTIMEDIA INDUSTRY CHANGE TO MEET THE CHALLENGES AND
OPPORTUNITIES PRESENTED BY THE GROWTH OF MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS
TECHNOLOGY?

?Mobile communications? doesn?t just refer to mobile phones, but to
all mobile devices with the ability to connect to networks such as
Wi-Fi, etc. Examples include the Nintendo DS/ Sony PSP, Wireless
Notebooks, palm-tops, etc, and of course, mobile phones.

Years of Interest: Some history from 1990?s, but most research should
be 2001 onwards (the newer, the better).

I have to research and analyse this, and I will also be handing out
all of my information as a report. So, I need a fair bit of diverse
research on the topic and I require enough demographic data to show
the industry?s evolution, not just of the past to the present, but
also realistic predictions of the future trends (recognised by leading
industry bodies).
This demographic data should cover general trends of the Multimedia
Industry Internationally (major regions; Europe, Asia, America), but
also focus a little more on the major countries that are developing
rapidly in terms of IT and mobile communication technology (UK,
America, Japan, China, India, etc.).

I also require research on Products and Services (regarding the topic).
This constitutes major products and services from the past to present
that are relevant to the mobile communications technologies, which
have caused evolution of the multimedia industry.
I would also like research into future mobile communications products
and services that will impact the multimedia industry. Examples
include Google?s (rumoured?) new technology where a user can take a
picture of a place using his/her mobile phone and then Google will
identify, and give information about that location.
Another example is how governments are working towards setting up
country-wide Wi-Fi networks.
Microsoft?s new Origami Project is also a good example.

I will also be focusing on markets in particular:
-	Education
-	Business
-	Entertainment
-	Society

Thanx!
