I am a small ecommerce biz owner with a trendy, luxury baby product. I
would like to start the process of hiring an independent sales rep to
place my item in high profile boutiques. I think the easiest thing to
do is look up products
already placed in these stores and locate the specific independent reps
to capitalize on the pre-existing relationship with the boutique. How
do you locate a rep by the lines they represent? Any suggestions on
good sites, periodicals, etc., for this topic would be appreciated.
Second - I know standard commissions can range a good deal, but what
is the going rate to compensate reps working retail boutiques?
