Question ID: 756794
All of my audio is dead, I press play in itunes and nothing, same with
a CD. It won't even play let alone make a sound, so my speakers are
fine. Does it have to do with my audio drivers? I may have
accidentally erased something that led to this problem.

Is this Windows XP? If so, can you go to Sound and Audio Devices in
Control Panel, click the Audio tab and choose a device under "Sound
Playback"? If not, it is likely that you do not have sound card
drivers installed. Has it ever worked before and just stopped?

Have you tried moving the sound card to a different slot? Also you
might want to borrow a friend's sound card and see if it works.

Itunes did something similar to me a while ago. I upgraded to the
latest version and it worked again. I assume some Quicktime file got
damaged or deleted at some point.
