As you mentioned in your clarification, you are looking for research
that supports the idea that books on creative are hot right now. I
searched extensively for sales data. I found the quote from NY Times
that you found, but was unable to uncover much more than that in
well-known publications. Probably the most useful thing I was able to
come up with is a listing of the current sales status of books
relating to creativity. The top two take up #430 and #1,818 in most
sales on Amazon.com, an amazing feat (consider that The Da Vinci code
is currently #229). I have also included other snippets of research
below that you may or may not find to be useful.

Amazon.com. Several of them score quite high, which is an impressive
