I recently read about a novel, non-conventional (and non-medication)
treatment for depression. It is not well known and I believe very few
people have tried it. I am trying to gain access to people who may
have tried this treatment to find out what results they had. Or, if I
cannot find people who tried the treatment (which I suspect will be
the case) I would like to be able to let
people know about the treatment so they can try it and then hopefully
provide feedback as to how well it worked.
The obvious place for me to get the information I am looking for is in
online depression forums and, in fact, I have posted in several of
them. The problem is that I received few answers, mainly, I believe,
because the forums I posted in are either used mostly as a place for
people to express their emotional issues and problems or because the
forums do not have a wide-enough audience of regular participants.
There are many depression forums out there but most don?t seem like
they would be effective for my purposes. I am looking for a forum
where a wide-enough audience of depressed (but otherwise mentally
stable and straight-thinking) participants could provide the
information I?m looking for. Can you suggest five to ten discussion
forums or websites where my postings would be most productive and
where I would have the best chance of receiving helpful answers?
(My postings on these forums will not involve solicitation, as the
treatment is something that the person does on their own without
purchasing anything or making any payments.) |
