Howdy happpy-ga,

Since they are talking about a "clash" in the riddle, the answer would appear
to be the "Testicle Festival" in Montana.
http://www.testyfesty.com/

This uses all of the clues, as it is the Tetons, and not the Rocky Mountains
in Montana, and the "Testicle Festival" is based around... Rocky Mountain
Oysters, or bull testicles. "Stones" is also a slang word for testicles,
and Montana is often referred to as "Cow Country."

Search strategy: Personal experience.

Howdy happpy-ga,

Also, if you need any clarification at all, please ask for it, and certainly
before you rate my answer. Thanks!

The answer was pretty well thought out, but I did find the right
answer myself. I do not think that your answer could be the right
answer because of the cow country clash. A festival is not a clash
unless there is some sort of contest.

To hopefully add to tisme-ga's great work, since they are talking about a
"clash," the final answer might be the "Testicle Festival" in Montana.

This uses all of the clues, as it is the Tetons, and not the Rocky Mountains
in Montana, and the "Testicle Festival" is based around... Rocky Mountain
Oysters, or bull testicles.

Thanks Cynthia!

Living in Colorado for over 20 years has made me all too familiar with
prairie oysters.

I commend the thought here, but I am still amazed at some of the
"mis"information given. The Testical Festival is in Clinton, Montana.
Right outside of Missoula. The Tetons do not extend that far north.
They are realtivley short. Not the point. The Tetons are a range
within the Rockies. The Rockies extend from Canada to New Mexico and
are comprised of many ranges.

Rocky mountain oysters have something to do with it. Possibly the
eating contest at the Larimer County Fair.

I stand corrected, montana303-ga, in that 1) the Tetons do not reach Clinton,
Montana, and 2) they are indeed part of the Rockies. Apologies to all!

But, as you say, not the point.

The "stones" they refer to in the "riddle" are testicles, and the best-known
"clash" involving Rocky ("Rockies") Mountain Oysters is the Testicle Festival.

You may have something there denco-ga - I went to their site. For
happy-ga.....the word clash used to describe the event may have been
chosen to compliment the words Cow Country....."contest" would have
worked too, but clash is so much more exciting in cow country.....
and the statement there is no contest involved....check their
website.....there are several "clashes" involved..."Nut eatin'" and
"ball bitin'" If you still think you have the correct answer, let's
have a hint..........
