I would like to know if HSBC online bank and investing co. is a scam

HSBC is certainly not a scam on this site. 

However, without knowing more details about your question, I'd be wary
of getting into this bank from a link sent to you through your email.
Many people receive emails that attempt to deceive them that they have
a problem with their account in a certain bank. These are scam emails
that do not come from the banks, and whose sole purpose is to deceive
you into thinking that it is the bank, therefore giving away some
details of yours (such as secret codes; account numbers, etc.).

HSBC themselves write on their webpage:

Even as an online bank, HSBC will never send you an email with a link
to follow, but will tell you to enter its webpage, and enter online
banking the way you always do. The scammers might try to send you a
link that looks as if it is an HSBC page (but actually isn't).

So, as long as you're being careful, you can use HSBC - it is not a scam.

Uh, tisme-ga, I think you already did answer the question by mistake.
The website is www.householdbank.com if fazzina-ga is referring to
Household Bank Credit Cards. Just an FYI on the company, I have a card
with them and they haven't scammed me yet.

HSBC was once called Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and is
very reputable.  Householdbank.com is a subsidiary.
Admittedly, there are big banks with websites that seem to exude more
"big-serious-bank" image, but HSBC is one of the biggest.
