What software is available that will allow me to build and maintain websites using HTML and javascript files? I know dreamweaver does but am posting this question to find out if there are cheaper or free alternatives. I've tried Nvu but it does not seem to support javascript. Thanks. |

Eclipse is a free and highly popular IDE for developers. It supports javascript editing with the installation of a free plugin called JSEditor. There is a pre-packaged IDE called JSEclipse that features better javascript editing support but it's not free. Alternatively, you can use another IDE for web developers called Zend studio. However, Zend studio is not free either. |
