Question ID: 758509
I am the editor of a college newspaper called The Voyager.

We want our flag (the logo of the paper) to be in an old english font
like many traditional papers.

We also want the uppercase "V" in "Voyager" to be easy to read and not
mistakable for a "D".

The Virginian Pilot's flag is an excellent example of exactly how we
want the font to look.

So. My question is either:

What font does the Virginian Pilot use for its flag, OR
What is an old english font with a similar capital letter "V"?

Many newspapers commission fontographers to create a custom font for
their flag, text, etc. So this needs to be a font I can either
download or purchase for use at my newspaper.

Have you talked the The Virginian Pilot? They might let a college
paper use their font - or the V, if the rest of the font is standard
- maybe for a mention on the masthead.
