there s only one movie in french where it s about Da Ponte (but not
the main topic): les noces de figaro, it s a movie for french tv in
1980. another one is Don Giovanni (aka Mozart's Don Giovanni) from
Joseph Losey in 1979 but it s not in french but italian. And since
june 2006, Carlos Saura is making a movie about Da ponte's life

The Carlos Saura film mentioned above is called "Io, Don Giovanni."
