Hello,

I looked at the QNX site - www.qnx.com
These were the only OS software listed there.

QNX® Neutrino® RTOS
QNX4

Both these have 'Supported hardware/ processors' lists and both have
many versions. A cursory glance told me that the 386 EX is supported
by most versions - QNX4 4.25 through QNX4 4.21, except QNX4 4.11 which
supports ONLY 486.

I am unsure if this is what you are looking at. Please advise...

warm regards

you have mentioned doesn't figure here at all, even 'search' gives no
results.

My question is what 486 and Pentium processor check/look when you
install an Operating System into a PC,in my case this would happen to
be QNX O.S.

Or, maybe you can explain to me, say if I were to write an executable
application program, how would I know that the program would run in
both 486 and Pentium processor.

Not an expert here.. but I believe that an OS that works on 486 will
work on anything 386 and up. Optimization is another matter though.
Where did you get that info ?
