Dear hannahpen,

What exactly would you like to know? The division of the city of
Berlin by the Wall had numerous effects, politcal, economical, human
etc. Over the 28 years the Berlin Wall existed, there have been
numerous statements from UN representatives and institutions towards
this topics. It would be very helpful could you specify what you
desire to know.

Regards,
Scriptor

Hi,

I would like several examples of statements made by UN
representitives, as well as any type of statement or resolutions that
were made by the UN as a body, concerning the Wall. Did the Berlin
Wall affect the workings of the United Nations? Did the UN have an
active part in the decision to destroy the Berlin Wall?
Thanks.

The Berlin wall was put up between West & East Germany after WWII(well
if you count 1961 as after WWII... ). Eventually taken down in 1989.
UN wasn't happy with it- symbol of communism. Usually when someone
triedto cross over it they got shot on the spot.
