Are you seeking an answer only as listed in the APPMA National Pet
Owners Survey, to which you have linked? If so, I doubt that a
Researcher will be willing to buy the survey for $895 in order to earn
$15 for answering this question.

No, I am not looking for anyone to buy the survey.  I admit I am
trying to find an answere to this question without paying the $800.  I
am looking for a diffrent source to answere the question.  I have
found many refrences to the APPMA survey, none about dog collars. 
That is the reason I was hoping google answeres would be able to find
the answere.

Examples of articles refrencing the APPMA survey.  I figured these
stats are available somewhere on the web.

The APPMA survey is available at the University of California, Davis
and the Environmental Protection Agency Library.  Maybe these are
accessible online?
