People with a serious (high, hard, coloured) mohawk haircut, how are
they able to sleep without messing up or 'breaking' the mohawk ?

I have had friends who have sported these hair cuts and they use
woodglue to keep their mohawks upright. They can spend a while each
day getting them right.

Most of my friends sleep on beds without a head rest or a wall close
by and sleep on the side of their face. This gives the mohawk room to
lay down.

I would recommend that they sleep using a wooden or porcellain
headrest such as thoses once used in China and parts of Africa.
