I have a question that I want to direct to The Great One but he seems
to have gone AWOL, yet again.

Certainly, he has not filled in an HRF (Holiday Request Form) which is
mandatory for key GARs who are desirous of absenting themselves from
duty.

I have been left bereft and helpless.

What to do?

This is so serious that I am thinking of flying out to Orcatraz for
consolation. At least I know that timespacette will take good care of
me in my hour of need. (Pity that she is a Mac-fiend but then nobody's perfect.)

Shhhh! He has been recalled (not like for bad brakes, to duty) with
many other oldtimers to sit around and watch all those cctv monitors.
There are just so many of them now, that the regular force was
insufficient - and getting square eyes.
I understand that his effort to plug his laptop into the system, so
that he could continue his GAResearching, was stymied, but he and a
few others are negotiating to have the cctv images cabled to their
homes. When this is successful, he will be back online.

Actually Myoarin, I think you might be right
- I would guess he is at LHR or LGW

Or up at Blackpool, or maybe shooting grouse.
But I finally found Bryan's Orcatraz:

Have to scroll down past half way, and here is a picture, up in Cynthialand:

Gentlemen

Many thanks for your suggestions but I can say for sure that he's not
at Gatwick because I was there last week and they let me in.

Of course, I was first interrogated for 3 hours and then I was
accompanied by three armed heavies, supposedly for my own protection.

Oh yes, and a Helly Copter hovered closely overhead as I drove home.

But I've come to expect these things as normal.

Of course, it's Holiday Time here in the Land of Uk and everyone,
including Tony & Cherie, whizz away to paces where Wine and Petrol are
affordable.

I am surprized that you park at Gatwick.

I would taxi up and amble back on the train
(LHR I would whistle up a decent priced ride that pretends to be a
pre-ordered chauffeur)

I was acting as a chauffeur when I went to Gatwick ...

I was collecting Daughter #2 who was coming in from Florida.

No hardship except that I had to hire a uniform to satisfy her ladyship.

Having to wear a cap on a hot day was the worst part.

But that's what father's are for.

Where did Tony and Cherie (and the kids?) go, now that their favourite
Italian politician is out of office?

No, don't answer, I'll post it as a question. :-) Done. Myo
