Hello nice813-ga,

There is no type of gorilla commonly called "Diamondback". There are
some references on the internet that confuse the Diamondback with the
Silverback gorilla, but these are rare. You can find more information
on the Silverback gorilla here (see the behavior section):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorilla

I hope this clears this question up for you. Please let me know if any
clarification and required and I will do my best to further assist
you.

All the best,

tisme-ga

FWIW, here's what I thought when I saw the subject line:

The mascot for the Phoenix Suns (NBA team) is the Gorilla. The mascot
for the Arizona Diamondbacks (MLB team) is Baxter D. Bobcat.

So, there is the Suns Gorilla, and the Diamondbacks Bobcat. No
Diamondbacks Gorilla, though.
