What are historical yields on United States fixed annuities as compared with Inflation? I would prefer a graph over the past 20 years, but data is acceptable. |

This data is really hard to find (probably why this question hasn't been answered). Here is the only thing I have so far: Fixed annuities from 1990 - 1999 6.3% Inflation during the same time 2.9% http://www.ronviola.com/pdfs/Reasons%20Why%20A%20Fixed%20Annuity%20is%20Perfect.pdf#search=%22%22fixed%20annuity%22%20%22historical%20rates%22%22 Here are inflation rates for 1986-2005: 1.2 4.3 4.4 4.6 6.3 3.0 3.0 2.8 2.6 2.5 3.4 1.7 1.6 2.7 3.4 1.6 2.4 1.9 3.3 3.4 **calculated from St Louis FRED CPI data http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/series/CPIAUCSL/downloaddata?&cid=9 I know that's probably no help without yearly annuity data. |
