I'm working to develop a new chip technology that has multiple
applications across industries. Assuming I can develop and test
prototypes to the extent they can be mass produced, what are some
options and examples of licensing arrangements I could make with
potential users? I don't need or want to be in the manufacturing
business; I'd prefer to license the technology to others who can
include it in their manufacturing.

Also, I've heard about licensing based on number of gates, but don't
know what that is. Please explain and apply here, if appropriate.

Thanks.
