Hello jimmi854-ga,

Yahoo does not give free pop3 access to email. In order to get pop3
access with your Yahoo account, you need to sign up for Yahoo! Mail
Plus. This service costs $19.99/year.

You can sign up for the service here: http://mailplus.mail.yahoo.com/

Once you have signed up, you need to follow the instructions below to
set up you Yahoo! Mail Plus account in your email client:

Microsoft Outlook 2002 (XP) & 2003
http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-28.html

Microsoft Outlook Express
http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-06.html

Eudora 5.1 or higher

Additional clients are available here:

Good luck, and all the best,

"Yahoo does not give free pop3 access to email."

There is one exception to this, which is if you have AT&T Yahoo
(formerly SBC Yahoo) or Rogers Yahoo DSL service. If that is the
case, you receive POP3 service for free (to use a pre-existing Yahoo!
ID, you must merge it with your DSL account when you initially set up
your DSL. You only get one chance at this. Otherwise, you'll need to
create a new ID).
