Hello I am looking for a simple example which I can follow showing
Least linear square method. I am hoping to find an example I can
follow as I do not have a strong math background and I want to use
this for a 2 dimensional graph with about 5 results on it.

Thanks,

Justin.

Hello justin!
You'll find a step by step example of how to manually calculate the
regression equation for a given set of points in a two dimensional
graph at the following links:

Regression
http://www.cs.uni.edu/~Campbell/stat/reg.html#form

Linear Regression
http://pirate.shu.edu/~wachsmut/Teaching/MATH1101/Relations/linear-regression.html

The second link also includes a tutorial on how to calculate it in
Excel. Bear in mind that in order to do this, you'll have to install
the Data Analysis Toolpack. This can be found in Tools - Add-Ins.

This is perfect I am sorry I was so long in replying I have never used
google answers before and sort of expected a email to tell me that it
had been answered so I did not think to look until this morning. I am
happy and will use the service again.
