Question ID: 761244
I'm looking into implementing a live support (Live CHat) on our
company's website. Our servers run Windows server 2000 and the website
was written in ASP. Internally we use their messenger service, Windows
Messenger.
What are goods software options? Would it be correct to integrate it
to our existing setup? Do newer OS's (Win Server 2005, 2007)have this
tool among their services?

Hello jucabala-ga,

First, messenger service does not really have anything to do with
online live support. Newer Windows Operating systems do not come with
built in live chat support for websites, this is something that has to
be brought in from the outside.

The various different packages come with different setups, some
integrate fully, others are a seperate installation. I would look at
the system first to see if you like it, and not worry about
integration too much. All come with support and will work with the
proper training for your employees.

The best way for me to find software that would be a good fit for you
would be if you could show me examples of live chat integrated on
various website that you like. This would help me track down the right
software for you. In the meantime, I have selected some of my
favorites below, as well as some of the industry leaders (most have
demos available on their sites):

Live Person: http://www.liveperson.com (the best in my opinion)
Talisma: http://www.talisma.com/
Live Helper: http://www.livehelper.com
Chatjet: http://www.chatjet.com
Bold Chat: http://www.boldchat.com
WebsiteAlive: http://www.websitealive.com/

If none of the above meet your needs, please let me know and I will
continue to do my best to help you find a solution.

All the best,

tisme-ga

I don't knon that many sites with this feature. I personally used only
Geico's and Dell's, which were nice, with nothing special. I will
review the ones you sent me and get back to you.
For now Thank you

Dell's chat is ok. The best thing to do is to try the various ones on
the different websites I have provided and to choose the best one from
there and read about it. You will learn how it works on the back end
etc.

All the best,

Hello again,

All options you gave me are hosted solutions with monthly fees. Do you
know any other systems sold as a packaged software? I found this "cute
live support" http://cutesoft.net/Live-Support/, are there others out
there worth looking into?

Best Regards, Juca
