In my ICT department there is a debate about reasonable costs for creating an ICT architecture. We all agree that creating ICT architecture for a smaller organisation should cost less than creating one for a multinational. We do however not have any benchmark data for this debate. I'm looking for benchmark data for this debate. So my question is: Are there any benchmarks for the costs for creating an ICT architecture for different organisations. I would appreciate benchmarks for initial cost and for maintenance costs (annually). As my organisation the ICT department for a university, I would especially like benchmark data for education organisations. But really, other benchmarks would also be interesting |

nickyict-ga That is a great question but could you define exactly what will constitute a correct answer and earn the $100? Just for clarity, something like this: The winning bid will be the person who supplies start-up, and the initial year ongoing cost of any ICT architecture for a university of 40,000 based on a Windows 2000 not including telecommunications. Otherwise what defines a correct answer is entirely subjective. Look forward to supplying what you need. affordablemagic-ga |

The winning bid is the person who does the best job of making clear (by providing good examples, and perhaps a few lines of text on theory) which are defining parameters for the cost of ICT architecture. And gives good price indications (of course). For our debate, benchmark data on universities are very good to know, but also data on other organisations are very interesting, to support the debate. I'm preparing a presentation to tell more about this subject. Good enough to match my expectations is a list of minimum 15 benchmark organisations of varying size, with good descriptions (eg. size of the organisation, complexity of ICT architecture, inclusions/exclusions). The benchmark should indeed describe initial costs and maintenance costs (annual costs). Your assumption is correct: my university is approx 40,000 based on a Windows 2000 not including telecommunications. Hope this helps |
