I am an Apple user and was getting a mime type 2 error message when
trying to view or download wmv files off the internet. I purchased the
Flip4Mac wmv player upgrade to be able to view the wmv files via
Quicktime. Problem is now all I see is Quicktime logos with question
marks AND I still can't view or download the wmv files. Help.

You will need to download the Flip4Mac Windows Media Player components
from Microsoft.com:

It could be that you think they're wmv and really something like avi.
You get the question mark when ever you dont have the right codec
