I've found where you may buy USP grade pregnenolone, but it's not
directly from the manufacturer.

Is this acceptable?

astral -

I have emailed the four companies below to get details and am still
tracking down the contact information for Lambrochem. It may take
some time, though, since we are now waiting for the chemical companies
to write me back.

Hi astral -

Pregnenolone appears to be very popular as a dietary supplement. Are
you looking for the hormone for this use or for chemical research type
use? If the former, it's rather easy to find it packaged in pill form
on the web.

Also, if the address for Labrochem satisfies your request let me know
so that I can recast that as an answer and close this question.

i am trying to buy couple of kilograms of pregnenolone and having
trouble locating a company that makes pure pregnenolone that 99% pure
and usp grade. the melting point of pregnenolone must be 192 or no
lower than 191.

Hi astral,

According to ChemSources USA, the following companies provide high
purity pregnenolone (CAS RN 145-13-1):

Accurate Chemical & Scientific Corp.
300 Shames Dr.
Westbury NY 11590
Fax: 516-997-4948
Phone: 800-645-6264
Email: info@accuratechemical.com
URL: http://www.accuratechemical.com

Jonas Chemical Corporation
Specialty Chemicals Division
1682 59th St.
Brooklyn, NY 11204
Fax: 718-236-2248
Phone: 718-236-1666
Email: JonasChemNYC@aol.com (possibly changed to
jonaschemnyc@juno.com)

Kingchem, Inc.
296 Kinderkamack Rd.
Oradell NJ 07649
Fax: 201-262-9436
Phone: 1-800-211-4330
Email: customer-service@kingchem.com
URL: http://www.kingchem.com

I have not been able to verify the purity or grade of product
available from these companies, but each claims to have "high purity."

The Aldrich Chemical Company offers 98% pure pregnenolone. Their
address is:
PO Box 355
Milwaukee, WI, 53201
Fax: 414-273-4979
Phone: 800-558-9160
Email: aldrich@sial.com
URL: http://www.sigma-aldrich.com

I have only been able to determine that Lambrochem is an Italian
chemical company. Unfortunately I do not have access to the worldwide
version of ChemSources, or else I would be able to easily find the
address etc. of this company. All four of the companies listed above
are located in the United States.

I can certainly keep digging for you if you'd like - but if these
firms solve your problem please let me know.

Hi astral,

I've found the contact information for Labrochem!

Labrochem S.n.c. di Gioli Paolo & C.
Via dell' Uliveta, 68
57124 Livorno LI
Italy
Tel: +39 0586859702
Fax: +39 0586859701
Email: labrochem@tiscalinet.it

Also, Kingchem is a distributor of pregnenolone, not a manufacturer.
Aldrich manufactures pregnenolone, but it's not USP grade. I'm still
waiting on responses from the other two.

astral,

Jonas Chemical sent me the following message:

"We comfirm that our Pregnenolone was manufactured by the well-known
Pharmaceutical Company-Syntex. Since they have stopped manufacturing
Pregnenolone, we purchased their surplus inventory. Although we assume
that the material meets USP specifications, we cannot guarantee it. If
interested, please advise quantity needed.

Please reply to: JonasChemNYC@aol.com (not juno.com).

Sincerely Yours,
JONAS CHEMICAL CORPORATION, NYC"

Is this satisfactory? Please let me know if I've given you sufficient
sources (between this one and Labrochem) so that I can recast my
comments as answers and close the question.
