Hi,

I like what Digg.com and Shoutwire.com have done with news, in terms
of giving their readership the ability to decide what makes the front
page. I am a ballet dancer and run a blog that covers news from the
ballet world, its a nich thing with a small but dedicated audiance.

I would like to allow my readers to thumb up or down the articles that
are presented on my site, in a way similar to digg or shoutwire,
however I dont have or know where to get the code to do this.

This is where you come in. Can you find the code, or develop a similar
code that will allow me to easily attach this sort of system onto each
article when it is published? In the end I'll want this feature to
allow each IP address or perferably registered user to give their
thumbs up or down on an article and then for my site to automatically
update the presentation of those articles based on the incoming reader
opinions. I'd like to be able to do this through Joomla.

I've started this at $25.00 because I think the code is out there and
I just havent found it. If this is correct it should be an easy $25
for you. However, if this isnt the case and its going to take more
time and effort, let me know. I'd be willing to pay more if you could
show that its going to be more than a $25 effort.

I've been publishing at - http://linkstosome.blogspot.com

I've just bought space and thrown a template up at - http://balletnewsdaily.com

If you are unfamiliar with Joomla you can see how I manage content at
http://demo.joomla.org - to see the back-end, select Administrator
from the left hand navigation menu the userID is "admin" the Pass is
"admin" from there it is a pretty intuitive interface.

Please let me know if you need more details or explination.

Thanks,
Edward

Hey, thanks for your interest. I'd never heard of pligg, but its
exactally what I am looking for. I spent about an hour on their fourm
and joomla's looking for some integration and couldnt find any.
However I did run across this site.
http://www.pspcave.com/
which has integrated the two. I sent an email to the webmaster, asking
if he had the joomla extension or component but havent heard back yet.

If you can find the the utility that integrates Pligg and Joomla the $ is yours.

thanks a lot
Edward

The only way I know of is to either submit each blog you make to digg,
or use pligg cms its basically an opensource (free) version of digg. I
could help you set that up if needed.
