Hello Lena7,

I found a few options for you.

The St. Barnabas Hospital Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Gouverneur Childbirth Classes

"Expecting moms looking for quality, free childbirth classes, need
look no further than Gouverneur Health Clinic. The two-hour weekly
sessions offered every month focus on relaxation, breathing and coping
mechanisms, similar to the Lamaze training."

"According to Richard Jennings, Head of Midwifery at Gouverneur, his
facility is one of only three US cities to offer free prenatal care to
undocumented immigrants (Gouverneur?s patient population consist of
85% immigrants). Participants in each class range in age from 16 to
42."

"Classes are offered in English, Spanish and Chinese (the most heavily
attended) and are taken toward the end of pregnancy. English classes
are taught by midwife Barri Malek; Dana Sidney, a midwife, teaches in
Spanish; and Nancy Tada, a nurse, teaches the Chinese class.

After completing education on the stages of labor and various pain
management options, students are taken on a tour of the maternity ward
at Bellevue Hospital, where they will give birth. Bellevue boasts the
lowest cesarean rate in the city, and is ?the only birth center in a
public hospital in the country? which allows women to ?have their
family and kids with them? at the time of birth, Jennings says."
