I burned DVD using CDBurner XP Pro3 (freeware). The DVD shows data has
been written.

I tried accessing the data - it gave me a cylical redunancy error the
first time I tried accessing the data. After rebooting - my computer
is not recognising the DVD having any data?

If there's any confusion - please ask I'll clarify.

Hi there maulikbp-ga,

Please download and install Nero CD/DVD Speed.
http://www.cdspeed2000.com/

After running the program, put the disc in question into the drive you
used to burn it with. Select the appropriate drive from the dropdown
list at the top center of the main program screen. Then from the
menus, select Extra/Scandisc... from the top menu. Check off both
"File Test" and "Surface Scan" and then click start. What are the
results?

If in the event "Scandisc" doesn't work for some reason, click
Extra/Disc Quality Test/Start from the top menu and please let us know
your results.

core-ga,

I tried running the program. After inserting the DVD the program
freezes. It really appears as though I have a coaster!

Now it appears to be working-- From the hard break down I'm having
trouble finding "File Test & "Surface Scan" from the "Extra" menu.

Then from the
menus, select Extra/Scandisc... from the top menu. Check off both
"File Test" and "Surface Scan" and then click start. What are the
results?

If in the event "Scandisc" doesn't work for some reason, click
Extra/Disc Quality Test/Start from the top menu and please let us know
your results.

I have experienced similar problems with faulty or low-quality DVD-Rs.
Have you tried burning the DVD more than once, with always the same
result?

I've burned at least 20+ DVDs with the same software - no problems before.

There are some occasional cause.
You must run "check data" when you just finished burning the DVD.
