I am relocating to London in November and am trying to find a website where I am able to check out an unbiased view on London's burroughs and districts; will use it to help me choose a place to stay. There are a couple of sites that give details on the various areas, but - because these are estate agents'sites - they're generally quite glowing about all. I remember coming across a site a couple of months ago where it gave the low-down on the ins-and-outs in a humorous way. Don't need the kind of information that upmystreet.com gives (crime stats, income bands) as this doesn't always capture the GIST of the neighbourhood. Would like an insider view on which areas are safe and which are out in the Styx, etc. Would appreciate being directed to a website that summarises this nicely for an out-of-towner. | |

The website below: http://www.livinginlondon.net/ has divided the Greater London into areas with brief description including transportation, housing, people, nightlife and even shopping area. It's brief but I find it useful so hope so do you. |
