A couple of years ago I stumbled across a portable toilet/commode intended for use with the aged or handicapped. I would now like to purchase one for a family member and cannot find it. I have searched the web and see no trace of it. There are many commodes and porta-potties out there but this one was unique in that the waste container was not a bucket nor a pour-spout type enclosure. The waste container was a slide out container as I recall. It had special levers that allowed it to be removed from the unit and carried to the user's standard permanent toilet in a totally sealed condition. It was then placed on the permanent toilet and another lever operated to open the bottom of the unit. It emptied right into the tolet without its content ever being exposed to the operator. The manufacturer stated something about this feature maintaining the dignity of the patient. I call it "dignity dumping" Please find this unit for me. |
