Note that you can use "coágulos en las piernas" instead "Trombosis
Venosa Profunda".

I was thinking 'yeah... that is pretty good, don't think I can improve
upon it...' then I realized just like livio I've been in the States
for too long! In Spanish the common word for batteries (as in AA, C, D
etc.) is 'pilas' the word bateria is used for larger bateries as in
car or boat bateries. So, I would suggest you change 'funciona a
baterias' for 'funciona con pilas'.

A pretty good translation, it includes an interpretation of the
content, most people fail to interpret what they translate.

I should add that 'baterias' is not incorrect, as 'pilas' are
'baterias' it is just that pilas would be accurate.

you need to be careful when you start a sentence "In Spanish the
common word for ##### is...".  my wife is from ecuador, and we have
friends from PR, mexico, colombia, and peru.  for any common word,
there are almost always 2-3 different "common" ways to say it,
depending on the country or region you're interested in.  it's strange
too; there is often no pattern.  one word might be the same in mexico
and honduras but different in colombia.  another word might be the
same in mexico and colombia, but different in honduras.

from other answers i've seen here, i'm about 95% sure livioflores is a
native speaker of spanish; i suspect wherever they are from,
"baterias" is more common.  i know they use "pilas" in ecuador, don't
know about anywhere else.

i've often thought that people that ask for translations into spanish
should specify what dialect they want.  although now that i think of
it, it seems unlikely that there are researchers that could translate
into ecuadorian spanish, colombian spanish, mexican spanish, tex-mex
spanish, etc.

Yes, I am a native spanish speaker, born in Chile from Bolivian
parents and I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Pilas is very common here and it is the proper name for batteries type
AA, AAA, etc. But to refer for a 9V battery
(http://www.pictureline.com/images/bigpictureB.php?id=2459) we use
batería. The same for more sofisticated batteries (for example the
ones that power a Kid's electric car). Since I do not know the type of
device I decided to use the term BATERIA that covers both small and
big batteries.

Just a comment about the "baterias". I am from Peru, and "pilas" would
be the word for batteries. Yet I am not sure if Puerto Ricans or
Mexicans would understand "pilas".  I would recommend to keep
"bateria" as this is the standard spanish word .

should read:
Funciona a baterías y es fácil de usar
