If you want to compile your own list, based on specific criteria,
there are several newspaper databases which contain international and
local online papers.

Netizen.com has 8208 international and local online papers to choose
from! You can use the handy dropdown menus to make your selections.
http://www.nettizen.com/newspaper/

Online Nespapers is a similar database
http://www.onlinenewspapers.com/

Metagrid contains online newspapers as well as magazines
http://www.metagrid.com/

Each of these databases will allow you to sort out online papers based
on location, and you can compile your own list by simply copying and
pasting.

For example, here is a list for California
http://www.onlinenewspapers.com/usstate/uscalifo.htm

 I hope this helps!
