Rainbow's answer is well enough.

but i think wallysovia can use another way.

Reinstall your XP system and install all the software, then use the
software of 'norton ghost' to make a bakeup.

then when your system is breakdown, you just use a cd-rom to start your
compoter and come back your system also use 'norton ghost'. almost 3~5
minute you will get a new system.

PS:If you use the ghost you will lost all your files in your C: you
should backup you files to another . This step is very imoprtant!

Since you didn't specify your operating system I'll assume you are
running Windows XP. If so, the process is quick and easy using the
system restore.

1. Click Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
2. Click Restore my computer to an earlier time and click Next.
3. Click a date before you lost the icons and take the defaults from
that point on. It will restore your system to that point.
