Psychologist Julian Jaynes is alleged to have written this: "Why does

Can someone find a citation for this?

I believe the quote should read as, "...so that whatever in us it is
that we refer to as will stands master and captain over action with as

This appears on Google Books but only in a very limited extract. By
enlarging the search terms I have managed to find the full sentence.

?If under hypnosis we can be changed in identity and action, why not
