I am a current college student entering my 3rd year of college at a
local JC. I plan on transferring at the end of the year. I enjoy
science, math, and computers. However, I don't really enjoy
programming, but like the network security field. Math and physics as
majors don't look to promising because of the lack of jobs that I find
for them. I want a job that will pay over $100,000 and want an
education that will get me a job like that easily. I would major in physics,
but have been unable to find any jobs that would pay me over $100,000 or
any employers actively seeking physics majors. The same goes with
mathematics. I am able to find lots of jobs in Computer sciences in my
area, (Bay Area, CA) but nothing that would pay that much without all
sorts of specialized certifications. I am lost. The schools that I was
looking at were University of the Pacific, University of Advancing
Technologies, UC Santa Cruz, University of Santa Clara. Which school,
or maybe you could suggest a better match, would look better to an
employer? What major would be easier to get employed with, and what
jobs would be easy to get after I get my degree that would pay me lots
of money? I might be looking to get a masters if that helps! I also
enjoy research enviroments and labs, but those jobs are always so hard
to get... Thanks
